“Cordiality was born from a genuine need to make a change in our lifestyles and a desire for a better, healthier choice”.
All the years, sharing much joy and laughter with all our friends started to show that recovering from the enjoyment of cocktails and good company was getting harder as we were getting older... and the calories in our ‘go to’ tipples were less forgiving too!
We found ourselves drawn to Hard Seltzers (alcoholic, fruit flavoured sparkling water) that were low calorie and low ABV.
However, after trying ‘a fair few’ we felt that what was on the market didn’t quite meet what we were looking for, and drinks from cans really didn’t appeal to us either.
We wanted something we looked forward to!
We felt that there was a loss - the satisfying pop of a cork pulled from a fine bottle of wine, a loss of rituals when mixing a cocktail, the building anticipation of a great flavour sensation; all this was part of the rich pageantry of having a quality drink.
Yet, we just couldn’t find that ‘something’ that fulfilled our flavour expectations or had the flexibility to be stronger or weaker, according to our day-to-day preferences. To have our perfect drink, we needed to have the control to mix it ourselves.
This is when we realised that there was nothing out there that catered for all our wants and needs. So, to have what we wanted, we realised that we needed to create it.
Ideally, the main base of our drink would be pure, hydrating H2O, but what could we mix with soda water or sparkling mineral water? Next, we asked ourselves, what flavour combinations we most wanted to taste.
Then, Eureka!! Why not create an alcoholic cordial?! Delectable essences of fruits and herbs, grown-up flavours, balanced to perfection. Just add ice and sparkling water for a refreshing, low ABV and low-calorie drink.
Cordiality gives the wielder of our bottles the personal choice of how strong or weak they want their drink in flavour or alcoholic content, alongside the versatility to create different kinds of drinks; Bellinis, cocktails or hard seltzer style drinks.
Cordiality can be added to cocktails as lower calorie option to sugary liqueurs - it’s also a great addition to champagne or wine as a Spritz!
As simple as mixing a gin, or as complex as creating a bespoke cocktail, there is so much versatility and we’ve only just started to explore all the delicious things we can do.
It’s been such an exciting and wonderful journey working with each-other as friends and with other incredibly talented women who ‘totally got this’ and ‘totally got us.
